“Pumpkin Pie” Waffles

Want to enjoy dessert for breakfast without any guilt?  Then these waffles are for you.  YUMMY!

Ingredients:
  •     1 cup pureed canned pumpkin
  •     1/2 cup soy milk
  •     3/4 to 1 cup whole wheat flour
  •     1 teaspoon baking powder
  •     1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  •     1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  •     1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  •     1 teaspoon cinnamon
  •     1/4 teaspoon salt
  •     1/3 cup sugar

Directions:
  1. In a large bowl, add to pumpkin sugar and milk and mix well.
  2. Sift onto wet mixture dry ingredients, mix in but do not over-mix. 
  3. Cook in waffle-iron.  Serve with real maple syrup
